As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for a: Structural Method Engineer for an exciting project at Stord.


Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
 
 
What will you be doing?
  • Establish, update, and maintain construction methods and sequences.
  • Prepare constructability documents and ensure HSSE-friendly, construction-oriented design.
  • Contribute to schedule development and verify that methods are reflected in project plans.
  • Participate in design reviews with a focus on constructability.
  • Organize and lead meetings as needed.
  • Engage project personnel in developing construction methods.
  • Provide input to lessons learned reports, workshops, and improvements to routines and procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate across Method discipline, Planning, Engineering, Procurement, Construction Engineering, and Construction teams.
 
 
We think you should have:
  • Good knowledge of work processes within the discipline being carried out.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with EPC processes in Topside and Facilities or Renewables segments.
  • Technical or Bachelor’s degree. Lack of education can be compensated with relevant work experience
  • Software skills in MS Office 365
  • Familiarity with tools such as: Method Planner, Visual Construction Planning, Autodesk Navisworks Manage, AVEVA E3D Design, Constructability Engine and MIPS
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian, both written and spoken.
