Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop user-friendly HMI and SCADA interfaces to optimize automation system operation.
  • Integrate HMI solutions with PLCs, control systems, and related automation components ensuring seamless performance.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve HMI/SCADA issues to maintain system reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Produce clear, accurate technical documentation and user manuals to support system use and maintenance.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, developers, and project stakeholders to deliver consistent, high-quality interface solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with HSSE, quality management systems (QMS), and company policies, exercising Stop Work Authority as required.
  • Make informed decisions on interface design, usability, and integration strategies within established engineering frameworks.
Qualifications
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with HMI and/or SCADA systems, with proficiency in technologies such as GE Cimplicity, WinCC, or iFix.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Visual Basic, or SQL for developing and customizing interfaces.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex troubleshooting tasks.
  • Effective communication abilities, including producing comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with PLC integration and automation control systems is a plus.
  • Commitment to adhering to HSSE and quality standards and company policies.
Location: on site- Kristiansand
Contract Duration: 6 months with possibility for extension
