Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
What will you be doing?
- Verify designs and review engineering/vendor documentation
- Ensure the building method is implemented in EIT shop engineering
- Split and prepare EIT work packages for efficient production
- Check installation locations and HSSE‑friendly design in the 3D model (PDMS/E3D)
- Follow up DCNs and ensure they are included in work packages
- Coordinate interfaces across all disciplines, suppliers, subcontractors, production and planning
- Maintain strong HSSE focus throughout the work
- Interface with IT/IS systems such as E3D, Navis and MIPS
We think you should have:
- Experience with CAD tools and good general computer skills
- Knowledge of as‑built drawings and mechanical interface drawings
- Software skills: MS Office 365, MIPS, E3D
- Bachelor’s degree (or relevant experience in place of formal education)
- Valid FSEL course, practical First Aid course and EX course
