Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
What will you be doing?
- Assisting production with resolving technical issues during construction and installation
- Supporting production with interpretation of drawings and work basis
- Preparing work basis and documentation for technical solutions together with shop engineering
- Verifying that installation locations and methods are constructible and HSSE‑friendly
- Collaborating closely with the work leader (FIL), method, shop engineering, PRE and other stakeholders
- Ensuring strong HSSE focus throughout all activities
- Interfacing with IT/IS regarding engineering registers, Navis and MIPS
- Coordinating closely with production
- Working across all disciplines including EIT, piping, structure, civil and HVAC, as well as suppliers and subcontractors
- Experience from the oil and gas industry, preferably with AKSO
- Good understanding of electrical discipline work and field execution
- Strong skills in basic computing and experience with as‑built drawings and mechanical interface drawings
- Software skills: MS Office 365, MIPS, E3D, 3D tools
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years of E&I experience — relevant work experience can compensate
- Must hold valid FSE, Practical First Aid and EX course
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across disciplines
