This role combines hands-on engineering with modern digital development, offering a unique blend of technical depth, field work, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. What You Will Work On
Technical / Domain Responsibilities
- Engineer OLGA multiphase flow models for real-time online use.
- Develop and deploy OLGA Online workflows: Pigging, Hydrate Management, LDS, VFM, and more.
- Integrate OLGA models in real time with client control systems and user interfaces.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret client operational data for optimal model performance.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with clients and support installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing on-site.
- Prepare project documentation, including specifications, test procedures, and user manuals.
- Create and maintain engineering documents such as P&ID mark-ups, control system schematics, and well/pipeline documentation.
- Perform testing, reviews, and comprehensive quality assurance.
- Execute on-site system installations with field data integration.
- Deliver customer training for end users on-site.
- Develop intuitive web user interface screens for real-time applications.
- Work with modern Digital Production tools and systems.
- Integrate production data with enterprise platforms (e.g., APIs, Cognite, Data Historians).
- Contribute to cross-regional, multidisciplinary global project teams.
- Deploy and maintain new and existing digital real-time projects.
- Support project planning by estimating effort and task duration with the Lead Engineer.
- Use and maintain engineering processes and documentation in a global wiki system.
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Process Engineering, or related sciences; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of industry experience, ideally within flow assurance or related engineering disciplines.
- Proficiency in engineering OLGA multiphase flow models for real-time online use.
- Experience with OLGA workflows: Pigging, Hydrate, LDS, VFM, and integration with control systems.
- Strong ability to interpret P&IDs, well schematics, instrument datasheets, and pipeline documentation.
- Proven ability to create project specifications, test procedures, and user documentation.
- Excellent communication skills, strong teamwork abilities, and a proactive, self-driven problem-solving mindset.
- Knowledge of OPC DA/HDA/AE/UA communication protocols.
- Experience with dynamic process or pipeline simulation tools.
- Python programming experience.
- Exposure to Digital Production tools and platforms such as APIs, Cognite, and Data Historians.
