We are seeking an experienced Lead Human Factors (HF) / Human–Machine Interface (HMI) Specialist to take a key leadership role in the design and development of the Large Screen Display (LSD) for the Yggdrasil field. This is a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary role with significant influence on control room design, visualization standards, and operator experience.
📌 Key Responsibilities
Lead HF/HMI Design for the Large Screen Display (LSD)
- Lead the HMI group in the iterative, multi‑disciplinary design process in accordance with the project’s HMI philosophy and requirements.
- Define, document, and maintain all HF/HMI/visualisation requirements in the LSD Specification.
- Conduct all required analyses to support a robust LSD design, including:
- Transfer of experience from existing LSDs (e.g., Aker BP installations) and candidate prior experience.
- Identification of user needs and operational contexts (start‑up, normal operations, emergency scenarios).
- Information abstraction and presentation using Siemens Energy LSD symbols.
- Definition of functional and contextual areas, information grouping, and layout aligned with the Control Room design.
- Ensure active involvement of the HMI group throughout the design and specification development process.
- Represent the HF scope within the HMI group for level 2, 3, and 4 displays.
- Secure consistency between completed HMI designs and those in progress.
- Participate in development and review meetings, provide design input, and verify that implementation aligns with the Style Guide.
- Organize and lead HMI V&V activities in ETS and manage Change Logs.
- Follow up open actions and verify corrections implemented by Siemens.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Human Factors Specialist.
- Strong ability to plan, lead, and facilitate reviews and workshops.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a relevant discipline.
- Fluency in English.
Contract duration: 31.08.2026 with option for extension
