Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.
What will you be doing?
- Performing general field instrument engineering, system design, automation and control engineering, and fire & gas systems engineering
- Conducting cable dimensioning, calculations, and work with field instrumentation
- Providing engineering input to other disciplines and work packages
- Executing studies, surveys, and investigative work — main focus of the role
- Establishing, maintaining, and reporting progress on own activity schedule
- Driving continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and cost effectiveness
- Reporting key issues and progress to the Discipline Lead
- Ensuring quality and HSSE within own scope
- Identifying changes and contributing to change requests
- Performing site surveys when feasible based on engineer location
We think you should have
- Minimum 5 years project experience within instrumentation, automation, or related fields
- Experience with project‑specific software tools, like Microsoft Office;Cabsys;MIPS;Access;Time;CoPilot
- Leadership qualities, ability to work independently, take responsibility, and make decisions
- Strong understanding of relevant design rules, regulations, and standards
- Knowledge of NORSOK and applicable standards for NCS
- Proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and curiosity
- Ex Basic & Exi Basic training
- Relevant education: Associate degree, vocational school, BSc, or MSc
- Experience with project‑specific software tools
