Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.
What will you be doing?
- Working within instrument design, LCI, work packages and supplier follow‑up
- Following up instrument procurement packages and coordinating with suppliers
- Reviewing documents, drawings and providing engineering input to job packages
- Performing as‑built updates of supplier drawings and red‑line markups from offshore
- Reporting important matters to the Discipline Lead and Engineering Manager
- Ensuring quality and HSSE within your own scope
- Identifying changes and contributing to change requests
- Performing field instrument engineering, system engineering, automation and control engineering and Fire & Gas engineering
- Working with layout design, cable sizing, field instrumentation, valves and technical procurement activities
- Preparing MTOs, requisitions and installation jobcards
- Coordinating and collaborating with other disciplines, suppliers and clients
- Minimum 2 years of experience from the oil and gas industry
- Good knowledge of EIT installations and requirements
- Strong experience in supplier coordination and as‑built updates of tags and drawings
- Good communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset
- Ability to perform estimation and planning activities
- Relevant engineering education, preferably bachelor’s degree
- Software skills: TIME, MIPS, STID, ProCoSys, EqHub
