Step into a pivotal leadership role where your expertise will drive the success of one of the most challenging and high-profile brownfield projects on the Norwegian continental shelf. As the Process Discipline Lead for Johan Sverdrup Phase 3 Brownfield under the EPCI framework, you will lead the entire process engineering discipline, ensuring excellence in design, execution, and collaboration. This is your chance to leverage your technical insight and leadership skills in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment—working closely with clients, project management, and cross-discipline teams in Stavanger.
What will you be doing?
- Lead and manage all process engineering activities, including discipline reviews, project-specific adjustments, and execution deliverables.
- Develop accurate man-hour estimates, scheduling, and resource planning to meet project objectives efficiently.
- Ensure progress aligns with quality standards and project timelines.
- Assign, supervise, and coordinate work within the process engineering team.
- Maintain clear, proactive communication with clients, project leadership, and other discipline leads to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Contribute to critical deliverables such as design, quality checks of process/utility systems including subsea systems, P&ID, PFD/UFD, datasheets, line sizing, and calculation reports.
- Participate actively in HAZOP sessions, process design reviews, and safety reviews to uphold the highest standards of safety.
- Evaluate process simulations and leverage simulation insights to optimize designs (simulation skills are beneficial but not mandatory).
Qualifications we think you should have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Process Engineering or a related discipline.
- Solid experience working on projects within the Norwegian continental shelf (Norwegian Sokkel).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a process discipline engineer, ideally with leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of relevant design rules, standards, and discipline engineering methods.
- Proven ability in planning, quality control, contract management, budgeting, change, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Experience with subsea process design.
- Familiarity with SAS logic/SCDer.
- Ability to work independently and confidently lead client meetings and stakeholder engagements.
- Simulation skills to evaluate and optimize process designs.
- Available for work in Norway
- Good communicative skills in Norwegian and English and team player.
