We are now looking for a Project HSSE Lead.
- Lead and drive Health, Safety, Security and Environment in Umbilicals & Cables (U&C) Projects.
- Ensure development, implementation and monitoring of HSSE Management system in the project, in accordance with both regulatory as well as corporate-, contractual- and certification requirements.
- Provide functional expertise and assist the Project Manager in the continuous development of a healthy, safe and sustainable performance culture
- The role will be an integrated part of the Project Team, reporting within project organization and to client. U&C Project HSSE will report directly to U&C HSSE manager in Norway
- The role implicates a close cooperation with manufacturing U&C HSSE team at the manufacturing teams
Task and responsibilities
- Establish and implement the HSSE Management System, HSSE Program and Plan in the Project, ensuring compliance with both internal, contractual and certification requirements
- Take an active role to ensure that the One Subsea global HSSE functional agenda /KPO’s are implemented in the project
- Ensure that Supplier/Subcontractor HSSE governance and performance are considered during selection, and closely monitor throughout the contract lifecycle, and initiate improvement initiatives as required
- Establish, lead and maintain the HSSE risk management processes and provide insight and recommendations to the management team on improvement actions or corrections needed.
- Ensure that incidents within the project are notified promptly, and support the investigated process to establish learning outcomes
- Ensure reporting of leading and lagging HSSE indicators according to prevailing deadlines and expected quality
- Lead, coordinate and report on Client requests, including KPOs, and following up on critical HSSE issues
- Facilitate the ALARP process within area of responsibility
- Facilitate closing out of the HSSE Follow-up System as defined in applicable execution model
- Communicate and share HSSE-performance, messages and lessons learned to stakeholders
- Secure efficient working interfaces and active dialogue with Client representatives
- Be continuously updated on the project’s main status and challenges, and act in interest of the overall project’s best development
- Support manufacturing site HSSE team on the project as required.
- Be a role model in driving One Subsea HSSE strategy and objectives influencing stakeholders to meet the highest level of HSSE performance
- Conduct verification activities of HSSE performance including HSSE walks/inspections, reviews, task assurance, within the Completion scope of work
Knowledge and skills
- Deep understanding of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and local HSSE legislation requirements
- Customer-focused and self-driven personality with the ability to make decisions independently
- Excellent knowledge and experience with HSSE management systems, tools and processes
- Knowledge of risk management processes, auditing, readiness reviews and investigation techniques
- Ability to work in multiple tasks and balance simultaneous deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, English and preferably Norwegian
Experience
- Min 3-5 experience in HSSE, technical safety or similar
- Documented practice working with HSSE in projects
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry is advantageous.
