Contract Manager – Inside IR35 | Remote (UK Travel Required) Contract | Leading Global Power & Energy Projects
We’re seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join a major engineering organisation driving some of the UK’s most complex infrastructure and energy projects.
This is a remote role with UK site visits, operating inside IR35

As a Contract Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of contracts and project assignments, ensuring full adherence to established contract and claims management frameworks. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to project teams, providing clarity, leadership and commercial precision across all contractual matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of contracts or project-specific agreements, ensuring compliance with contract and claims management methodologies.
  • Provide leadership and expert guidance to cross‑functional teams on all contract-related matters.
  • Build effective contract strategies aligned with company policies, customer requirements and project execution plans.
  • Identify contract baselines, analyse risks/opportunities, and validate all incorporated documents.
  • Oversee the commercial execution of contracts and subcontracts, including payments, claims, variation orders, guarantees and warranties.
  • Ensure all parties fulfil their contractual obligations and verify full close-out requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Legal teams to develop negotiation strategies and support dispute resolution, litigation or arbitration activities
  • Draft, negotiate and finalise agreements across both Sales and Project Execution phases.                                                                                                                                                     
  • BSc in Quantity Surveying (RICS certified or working towards certification preferred).
  • Extensive experience within EPC power generation, substations, converter stations, transmission, grid integration, or similar industrial project environments.
  • Strong background in Contract Management and Subcontract Management, ideally with civil/electrical installation exposure.
  • Proven capability in administering standard form contracts and drafting contractual documents.
  • Solid experience in change management, claim management and contract-related legal issues.
  • Hands-on experience working under common law jurisdictions.
  • Confident interfacing with customers and subcontractors across all contractual and project matters.
