Senior Structural Engineer

As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for a: Senior Structural Engineer for an exciting project at Sandsli.
 
Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.

What will you be doing?

• Perform structural analysis, calculations, and design of module supports
• Verify supporting main structures for all relevant limit states
• Use broad structural analysis competence for floating installations and handle varied structural tasks
• Document analysis and design work in line with project requirements
• Collaborate with the design team on 3D modelling and provide engineering input to drawings

We think you should have:

• 5–10 years of experience using SESAM or STAAD for structural analysis
• Strong knowledge of local design and hand‑calculation methods
• Solid understanding of industry standards and design codes (NORSOK, DNVGL, Eurocodes)
• Team‑oriented, but able to work independently
• Quality‑driven with a structured and methodical approach
• Efficient, proactive and solution‑oriented
• Strong technical competence within structural engineering
• MSc or BSc in Structural Engineering or similar
