What will you be doing?
Join our dynamic team at Tranby as a Software Engineer – Embedded Systems Specialist, where you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of hydropower technology. You will contribute to the maintenance and further development of the Hydropower Connexi platform, working closely with a skilled and supportive team.
In this position, you will design and implement automated test suites, develop robust embedded software solutions, and help ensure our products deliver exceptional quality and reliability in a fast‑evolving energy sector. We think you should have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Proven track record in embedded software projects within product-oriented environments
- Strong proficiency in C and C++
- Solid experience with embedded software development, including microcontrollers and RTOS
- Good understanding of product development processes and methodologies
- Motivated, adaptable, and cooperative, with strong interpersonal skills
- Fluency in Norwegian and English
- Experience designing and implementing automated test suites
- Familiarity with hydropower industry software or related energy-sector applications
- Knowledge of advanced debugging and performance optimization techniques
Contract starts ASAP- 31.12.2026 with options for extensions.
