Structural Draft Checker

As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for a: Structural Draft Checker for an exciting project in Bergen.
 
Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.

What will you be doing?

• Perform draft checking of structural designs and fabrication drawings
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with project standards and requirements
• Contribute to high‑quality documentation and support the engineering team
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve drawing and design issues

We think you should have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
• Senior‑level experience in checking structural drawings
• Known within Aker Solutions as a draft checker (advantage)
• Familiarity with government and client requirements
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Accurate, organized, flexible and service‑minded working style
• Strong communication skills
• Good English skills, both written and spoken
• Availability to support project needs
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
