Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
What will you be doing?
- Ensure the building method is implemented in the work packages.
- Participate in organizing work tasks, routines, and procedures for the Work Package group.
- Implement corrective actions in consultation with the Group/Discipline Lead if there are discrepancies in procedures/routines.
- Prepare Work Packages for Construction and Subcontractors for the prefabrication and installation of all Pipe and Pipe Support work.
- According to the planned schedule, define work packages with all necessary data structure in MIPS.
- Check the project norm factors for the job estimate.
- Generate job estimates according to current guidelines.
- Clarify the start date for the Work Package with the Planning Department and Construction.
- Prepare and verify the complete Work Package.
- Continuously update the Work Package with any changes.
- Report status and progress on own activities by checking out "estimated complete" at work and activity in MIPS.
- Continuously collect data for the experience report.
- Verify interfaces with EI&T discipline, production, and planning departments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications we think you should have:
- Experience with 3D tools.
- Good knowledge of MIPS.
- Bachelor’s degree or technical college diploma. Relevant construction experience may compensate for formal education.
- Fluency in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written.
- Strong understanding of piping systems, construction methods, and prefabrication.
- Strong coordination and communication skills across multiple departments.
- Familiarity with job estimation and project planning.
