As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Engineering System Engineer SEIT in Trondheim. This is a temporary position with an expected duration of one year.

Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.

What will you be doing?
  • Coordinate engineering activities across disciplines with a particular focus on Electrical, Instrumentation, and SAS interfaces
  • Ensure that all engineering work within assigned systems is well understood and aligned with the responsibilities of each discipline engineer
  • Drive collaboration on functional requirements, layout integration, system design, and interface management
  • Secure alignment with project design basis, schedules, and quality expectations (PEM and engineering registers)
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Address and resolve interdisciplinary conflicts and system-related challenges
  • Organize and lead system engineering meetings when needed
  • Ensure technical solutions meet expectations for quality, constructability, HSSE, and cost-effectiveness
  • Follow up and implement corrective actions as required
We think you should have:
  • Fluency in both Norwegian and English, oral and written
  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • A quality-oriented mindset with a hands-on, delivery-driven approach
  • Solid experience with electrical and control systems, and cross-discipline system coordination
  • Knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, and standards
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience motivating and guiding others
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Fluency in both Norwegian and English, oral and written
