As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for a: Field Engineer – Electro, Instrument, Telecom for an exciting project at Stord.
 
The project operates in 14/21 day rotation.


Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
 
 
What will you be doing?
  • Assist the production with solving the technical problems which could occur during the execution of building- or installation work at a construction site.
  • Assist the production with interpretation of drawings and job basis.
  • Prepare work basis and documentation for technical solutions in cooperation with the shop engineering.
  • Check location and installation are construction and HSSE friendly.
  • Communicate closely with work leader (FIL), method, shop engineering, PRE and more.
  • Continually strive for good HSSE performance throughout the work.
  • Interface towards IT/IS related to engineering register, Navis and MIPS.
  • Coordinate with the production.
  • Interface against all disciplines (EIT, piping, structure, civil, HVAC, etc.), suppliers, subcontractors, production and planning department.
 
We think you should have:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience from E&I field.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree. Lack of education can be compensated with relevant work experience.
  • Good knowledge of basic computing.
  • Knowledge of the “as-built”-drawing and mechanic interface drawing.
  • Skills in MS Office 365.
  • Proficiency in MIPS and E3D.
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written.
