Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities.
What will you be doing?
- Follow-up of Instrument Procurement Packages
- Coordination with suppliers and review of documents and drawings
- Providing engineering input to job packages
- Updating supplier drawings with as-built information and red-line mark-ups received from offshore
- Reporting all important matters to the Discipline Lead and Engineering Manager
- Responsibility for quality and HSSE within assigned projects
- Ensuring identification of changes and contributing to change requests
- Conducting offshore surveys
- Engineering of fire & gas systems, including layout design, cable dimensioning, and calculations
- Performing technical procurement activities related to mechanical packages (e.g., PRD)
- Preparing MTOs, requisitions, and installation job cards
- Providing input to other disciplines and ensuring coordination and collaboration with suppliers and the client
We think you should have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
- Solid knowledge of offshore EIT installations and relevant requirements
- Strong experience in supplier coordination and follow-up
- Proven experience with as-built documentation of tags and drawings
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Experience with estimation work and activity planning
- Relevant educational background
- Proficiency in software tools such as TIME and MIPS
- Good skills in Microsoft Office
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience with SAS is considered a strong advantage
