As demand for carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) grows, more customers turn to SLB Capturi to solve their emissions challenges. We are one of the few companies worldwide with deep expertise across the entire CCUS value chain. Our projects span research and innovation, pilot plant testing, concept studies, and large-scale EPC projects in Europe and the United States.
Currently, we are delivering seven carbon capture units in Europe with a combined capacity of 1 million tons of CO₂. This includes five Just Catch 100 units for Ørsted in Denmark, one for Twence in the Netherlands, and a Big Catch unit for Heidelberg Materials in Norway.

Are you an experienced and dedicated Senior Instrumentation Engineer passionate about making a difference and leveraging technology to combat climate change?
The scope of work:
As our new Instrumentation Engineer, you will:
  • Manage technical procurement of instruments, including equipment specifications, bid evaluations, and supplier follow-up
  • Handle and resolve site queries on CCUS projects
  • Collaborate with multi-location teams of instrumentation engineers, including field engineers
  • Coordinate instrumentation scope with other disciplines, partners, suppliers, and installation contractors
  • Contribute to standardization and efficient execution of CCUS projects
  • Identify opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining quality and schedule
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control & Automation Engineering (or similar)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant project experience
  • Expertise in ISO, EN, ATEX, IEC, and other international standards for instrumentation, control, and automation systems
  • Multidisciplinary understanding of layout and system-related aspects
  • Experience in instrumentation cabling, cable tray layouts, and related activities
  • Knowledge of functional safety (IEC61511), safety systems, SIL loops, fire and gas detection systems is an advantage
  • Familiarity with FTIR, Gas Chromatograph, mass & ultrasonic flowmeters, and gas/smoke detectors is a plus
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to apply standardized solutions for optimal design
  • Preferably experience in land-based industry

  • Collaborative and able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Flexible with tasks and open to practical fieldwork when required
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
Work location: Fornebu, Norway
Contract:
6 months initial, with options for extension
Start Date: 1 December 2025 (latest start: 2 January 2026)
