What will you be doing? 

You will join a multidisciplinary environment where game technology, simulation, and engineering come together to develop interactive solutions for design, analysis, training, and visualization. In practice, you will: 
  • Build realistic realtime scenes in Unreal Engine 5 
  • Develop interactive simulations of offshore installations, vessels, and industrial systems 
  • Create cinematics and 3D animations with a focus on realtime visualization 
  • Work with lighting, materials, assets, level setup, and optimization 
  • Explore VR/immersive workflows and emerging visualization technologies 
  • Participate in workshops and demos with project teams and clients 
  • Help shape how Unreal Engine is used within the industry 
  • Maintain and develop internal CI/CD systems 
  • Oversee iPort deployment and simulator operations 
  • Work with the core developer team to develop new internal features for simulator center 

Setup, configure, and maintain physical I/O and display hardware (VR, Mixed Reality, Simulation Devices) Tasks: 
  • Maintain the CI/CD efficiency of simulation development 
  • Ensure stability of daily operation for the on-site simulation center 
  • Develop, automate, and maintain deployment pipelines 
  • Monitor and optimize system and hardware performance 
  • Collaborate closely with both development, operations teams, and broader digital community 
  • Align deliverables with relevant compliance policies 
  • Manage source control (Perforce preferred, Git also relevant) 
  • System Administration (Windows imaging, BIOS, cron tasks) 
  • Support and manage web servers and networked environments 
  • Configure and maintain physical servers, workstations, and custom hardware 

Qualifications we think you should have:
  • You do not necessarily need a traditional engineering background to thrive in this role. You may come from game development, realtime visualization, virtual production, or 3D design — what matters most is that you enjoy building great interactive experiences.

We are especially interested in candidates with experience in: 
  • Unreal Engine 5 • Blueprint systems and real time workflows 
  • Scene building, lighting, and visual fidelity 
  • 3D pipelines and asset workflows 
  • Interactive applications, simulations, or visualization 

It is also a plus if you have experience with: 
  • Nanite, Lumen, or VR/XR 
  • Sequencer and cinematic pipelines 
  • Datasmith, CAD import, or technical models 
  • C++, Python, or tools/scripts development 
  • Unity, 3ds Max, Blender, Navisworks, or Adobe Creative Cloud 
  • Available for work in Norway
  • Good communicative skills in Norwegian and English
