As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for an Electrical Engineer for an exciting project in Trondheim.
 
Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.

What will you be doing?
  • Following up electrical procurement packages including supplier coordination and document and drawing review
  • Providing engineering input to job packages and preparing MTOs, requisitions and installation job cards
  • Performing as‑built updates of supplier drawings and offshore red‑line markups
  • Taking responsibility for electrical system engineering for LV consumers and switchboards, including electrical calculations such as short‑circuit calculations
  • Reporting key matters to the Discipline Lead and Engineering Manager
  • Ensuring quality and HSSE within your own project scope and identifying changes for change requests
  • Participating in offshore surveys when required
  • Working across field instrumentation, system engineering, automation and control, Fire & Gas systems, layout design, cable sizing, valves and technical procurement activities
  • Coordinating and cooperating closely with other disciplines, suppliers and the client
 
We think you should have:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience from the oil and gas industry
  • Good knowledge of offshore EIT installations and requirements
  • Experience with supplier coordination, follow‑up and as‑built documentation of tags and drawings
  • Ability to perform estimation work and plan activities
  • Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset
  • Project‑specific software experience
  • Relevant education from vocational school, BSc, MSc or trade certificate combined with relevant experience
  • Senior Electrical Engineer or Electrical Engineer with PRE experience
