As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Senior Electrical Engineer in Bergen to play a key role in managing electrical systems for critical offshore projects.
You will oversee procurement follow-ups, coordinate with suppliers, and drive the engineering activities that keep our projects on track, safe, and efficient.
Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities.
What will you be doing?
- Manage and follow up Electrical Procurement Packages and Provide engineering input to job packages
- Coordinate with suppliers and review technical documents and drawings
- Prepare and review as-built drawings and red line mark-ups from offshore
- Lead electrical system engineering for low voltage (LV) consumers and switchboards
- Perform electrical calculations including short circuit analysis
- Ensure Quality and HSSE standards are met within assigned projects
- Support offshore surveys, field instrumentation, automation, control systems, and Fire & Gas systems engineering
- Execute layout design, cable dimensioning, and technical procurement related to mechanical packages
- Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTOs), requisitions, and installation job cards
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
- Solid understanding of offshore Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecom (EIT) installations and standards
- Proven experience coordinating with suppliers and managing procurement follow-up
- Skilled in preparing and reviewing as-built tags and drawings
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in teams
- Capable of activity estimation and project planning
- Relevant technical education in Electrical Engineering or related field
