Job Title: - Engineer - Electrical Engineering
Role Type:- NES Contractor
Contract Duration - 12 Months (Can be changed as per need).
Salary (Monthly) - TBC


Location:- Baker Hughes Facility, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Science Park (KASP), Saudi Technology & Innovation Center, Dhahran Techno Valley Dhahran 04 31261 Saudi Arabia

Role Summary:- Will be responsible for providing expert technical input and organizational input to electrical engineering activities on a wide range of projects from studies and design to troubleshooting, commissioning, and decommissioning

Essential Responsibilities:-

• Primarily responsibility is to create electrical control cabinet design with all necessary documentation according to industry and customer requirements.
• Use MicroStation CAD, Autodesk Inventor software to create, revise, review Project Drawings (System Interconnect, Power wiring, Layout drawings, Loop drawings, blocks, etc.)
• Compliance to customer specifications for Hardware / Cabinets
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards (IEEE, ANSI, NEC, IEC, NFPA).
• Assist Project Engineer in customer witness testing of Hardware / Cabinet design functionality.
• Follow quality procedures and standard design processes.
• Develop detailed bills of material for panels.
• Specify parts and develop ordering drawings. Update PE with job completion estimates and status
• Provide performance based and economic evaluations, selection, application, troubleshooting and maintenance practices of protection devices.
• Incorporate new design techniques to increase efficiency of Cabinet Engineering.
• Responsible for executing defect-free designs in a timely manner.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a global team environment,
• Understanding of the electrical engineering concepts deemed necessary for designing the electrical cabinet
• Understanding of NEMA/IP classifications

Essential Requirements of the role (Experience / Skills / Competencies):-

•Years of experience: 3+ years
•Field of experience: 3+ years field / projects / maintenance experience (working with instrumentation, control systems) in energy and/or oil & gas environment or relevant field will be an added advantage.
•Technical Skills: ? Refer attached Desired & Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
•Soft Skills: Good written and spoken communication skills in English, with demonstrated capability to structure and write technical material.
•Tools or Software (Required / Preferred): Proven experience with document layout, formatting, and editing.
•Education Qualifications: Bachelors or Diploma in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical or equivalent and up to 5+yrs experience.
•Industry Background or Experience (Required / Preferred): Knowledge of rotating machinery operation and controls systems.

•Required Accreditations / Qualifications / Certification / Licenses including Driving License: Ability and willingness to travel for site survey • Self-starter with minimal supervision requirement; able to work independently; ability to prioritize, organize work and meet deadlines

Desirable attributes of the worker (Experience / Skills / Competencies):-

• Strong preference for individuals experienced in design of Bently Nevada machinery protection cabinet and control products.
• Knowledge of Cabinet design engineering,
• Knowledge of Bently Nevada machinery protection and management systems products and services.
• 3+ years field / projects / maintenance experience (working with instrumentation, control systems) in energy and/or oil & gas environment or relevant field will be an added advantage.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 design control standards
• Prior experience with utility protection and control design standards
• Knowledge of LV control circuit, fuse and circuit breaker coordination
• Prior experience following quality assurance processes while working in a projects schedule-driven environment
