As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Instrument Engineer in Bergen.
 
Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities.
 
 
What will you be doing?
  • General field instrument engineering (system design, automation and control engineering, fire & gas systems engineering, layout design, cable dimensioning and calculations, field instrumentation).
  • Preparation of MTO`s and requisitions.
  • Preparation of installation job-cards.
  • Input to other disciplines.
  • Coordination and cooperation with suppliers and the client.
  • Establish, maintain and report progress for activity schedule in own discipline.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and actively seek opportunities to enhance effectiveness and cost efficiency.
  • Engineering inputs to work packages.
  • As-built of drawings and red line mark-ups received from offshore.
  • Report to Discipline Lead all matters of importance.
  • Being responsible for Quality and HSSE in own projects.
  • Ensure identification of changes and input to change requests.
  • Offshore survey
 
We think you should have:
  • Minimum 5 years experience from projects.
  • Bachelor’s or Technical degree.
  • Offshore certificate (GSK).
  • Experience and knowledge of relevant design rules, regulations and standards.
  • Ability to execute, take responsibility and make decisions.
  • Ability to communicate and being proactive.
  • Knowledge of NORSOK and relevant standards/regulatives for NCS.
  • Ex basic and Exi (intrinsic safety) certification/training.
  • Software Skills: STID, TIME, Xait, Navisworks.
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written.
