The world needs a sustainable energy future. Achieving net-zero emissions is a tremendous challenge, and subsea technology has a critical and exciting role to play. That's why we at OneSubsea need pioneers and visionaries. Problem solvers and collaborators. Curious minds and innovators. Experts and apprentices who care, work together, and drive us forward!

OneSubsea is a world-leading provider of subsea technology that enables the utilization of our resources and accelerates the transition to a more sustainable future.

As OneSubsea’s recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for a Mechanical Completion Inspector in Ågotnes, to cover up scopes for projects in Physical equipment inspections.

Mechanical Completion is a key project phase marking the final step in construction or manufacturing, where the completeness of equipment is verified against all project specifications and procedures. MC ensures that every system component is properly fabricated, installed, and tested, and that all activities—manufacturing, assembly, testing, and inspection—are fully carried out, documented, and registered in the project’s system. Once MC is achieved, equipment is ready to transition to the next production phase or be delivered to the client.

In this role, you will:

  • Verify and document that the product or equipment, including all required lifecycle information, packages, subsystems, and/or systems, is designed, built, and tested to fulfil its intended purpose and specified requirements, and is delivered and handed over to the client in a safe manner in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Physically inspect equipment assemblies in the workshop to verify assembly and test completion.
  • Coordinate inspection with relevant stakeholders.
  • Follow up and verify close-out of punches from previous quality and/or test activities and including punches found during the MC inspection.
  • Prepare punch lists and mechanical completion check records for issue to Project and Client

We are looking for candidates who:
  • Have a BSc or Diploma in a relevant discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Cybernetics, Systems Engineering, Information Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Planning, or an equivalent qualification. Candidates with a background from a mechanical workshop, including mechanic or QS/QC roles, may also be considered.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Procosys is considered an advantage.
  • Demonstrate excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Can quickly grasp technical concepts and efficiently learn new tasks and systems as required.
  • Are comfortable interfacing with customers and third-party vendors.
  • Thrive working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Can effectively plan, prioritize, and manage their own workload.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and are able to build effective working relationships with team members and a wide range of internal stakeholders.

With us, you will experience:
  • Colleagues who like to create solutions and achieve success together
  • A workday that you can influence
  • Being part of an international group with clear ambitions and an appreciation for initiative and innovation
  • Varied tasks across different customers and projects, giving you a dynamic and challenging everyday life
  • Good development opportunities where you can grow in several directions within the company
  • Competitive conditions and a work environment that promotes innovation and collaboration
