Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. What will you be doing?
- Working as a SAS engineer in EPCIC modification and maintenance projects
- Designing and integrating SAS systems, including interfaces, FS, SCD and HMI input for process, utility and electrical systems
- Participating in fire and gas safety reviews
- Following up system design for equipment packages and electrical automation systems
- Designing solutions in line with client requirements
- Following up vendors and technical documentation, including participation in FAT
- Preparing and maintaining key engineering documentation such as F&G, C&E, SCDs, and ESD/PSD block logic
- Providing engineering input to work packages and maintaining progress plans for your discipline
- Performing as‑built updates and red‑line markups from offshore
- Ensuring quality, HSSE and change management within your scope
- Participating in offshore surveys when required
We think you should have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an engineer within SAS, automation or control systems
- Ability to specify, dimension and integrate process control, monitoring, fire and gas, ESD and PSD systems
- Experience taking responsibility for procurement activities within discipline or multidiscipline packages
- Ability to support installation, Mechanical Completion and commissioning of SAS equipment
- Experience developing and maintaining system documentation such as system philosophies and specifications
- Strong ability to translate process functionality to system suppliers and verify software and hardware deliveries
- Good interdisciplinary understanding and ability to work with process, electrical, safety and HVAC disciplines
- Knowledge of NORSOK I‑002 and IEC/PAS 63131:2017
- Offshore training (GSK)
- Vocational school, Associate Degree, BSc or MSc in a relevant discipline
