As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for several Discipline Lead – Completion Mechanical/Piping for an exciting project at Stord.

We're looking for 3 Discipline Leads – Completion Mechanical/Piping to join a major project team, driving Mechanical Completion activities with a strong focus on safety, quality and execution excellence. Candidates must have previous Aker Solutions project experience. Rotation: 14/21.

Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

What will you be doing?
  • Leading and coordinating Mechanical Completion activities within the Mechanical/Piping discipline
  • Planning, preparing and executing MC activities while ensuring safe and efficient project delivery
  • Managing progress, quality, resources and budget within your area of responsibility
  • Establishing and maintaining procedures, work instructions and governing documentation for MC activities
  • Supporting suppliers, fabrication yards and assembly locations to ensure successful completion and handover
 
We think you should have:
  • Previous Aker Solutions experience is required
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate and support discipline personnel
  • Experience from EPC projects within Topsides & Facilities, Renewables or similar project environments
  • Proficiency in PIMS, MIPS, ProCoSys, Microsoft 365 and Autodesk Simulate
  • Good communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
  • Bachelor's or master's degree, or technical education combined with extensive MC and completion experience
