HMH in Kintore have an exciting opportunity for a Document Controller for 6 months plus ongoing contract.

Job Summary

As part of HMH’s Quality Assurance team, you will support quality activities for new-build, overhaul, and repair products. The role focuses on databook preparation and control, material traceability, regulatory and customer compliance, vendor coordination, documentation management, customer support, and adherence to HMH HSSE standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and compile databooks, work packs, certificates, and supporting documentation in line with HMH procedures, contracts, and specifications.

  • Coordinate customer and third-party reviews of databooks.

  • Retrieve historical manufacturing records, databooks, and quality documentation from company archives.

  • Provide vendors with documentation and material certificates required for databook compilation.

  • Obtain reports for outsourced operations supporting manufacturing and servicing activities.

  • Verify material traceability and compliance with applicable industry standards.

  • Review API 16AR Repair Specification Levels (RSLs) and report findings to Engineering.

  • Support customer requests for historical manufacturing and quality records.

  • Liaise with vendor quality teams to ensure timely databook completion and approval.

  • Maintain approved databooks and quality certification records, ensuring documents are released, linked correctly within document management systems, and available to customers.

  • Provide documentation status updates to relevant stakeholders.

  • Review product specifications to determine documentation requirements.

  • Investigate and resolve documentation issues to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Identify documentation risks, support continuous improvement initiatives, and promote standardised ways of working.

  • Maintain electronic records, including material certificates, service order documentation, and inspection reports.

  • Support non-conformance investigations by providing quality documentation and product history.

  • Comply with and promote HMH Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) requirements.

 

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in quality assurance, quality control, or manufacturing documentation.

  • Strong document control and attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively across teams and organisational boundaries.
