Job Title: Manufacturing Specialist - Material Plan & Execution/Material Planner
Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia
Rotation / Work Schedule: 5 days a week – 2 days off / 9 hrs a day - 7 am to 4 pm
Role-based (Office, Onshore, Offshore or Workshop): Office
Contract Duration: 1 year, extendable as per need

Role Summary:-
Responsible for planning and scheduling of the materials required to execute the business. Works with the sales and commercial team, region personnel, AMO and supply chain to translate the demand (forecasts, sales orders, planned orders) across multiple time horizons in to physical orders and ensures they are delivered to meet the customer requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:-

The key responsibilities of the Materials Planner may include the following as well as other items required to execute the role,
• Works with the region sales and operations to create the regional forecast (12-18 mo) and global forecasts
• Works with the sales and operations team to convert the demand plans into physical orders. Understands business trends, opportunities and how they impact the demand forecast.
• Analyzes incoming demand: identifies order exceptions, misalignment with product rationalization strategy and opportunities to utilize existing inventory
• Plans and schedules order timelines to be consistent with customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping costs
• Works with the Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery to prioritize deliver dates as needed (push outs, pull ins)
• Performs various material management analysis such as statistical material consumption and forecasts, aged inventory, aged purchase orders, in-transit material analysis, safety stock, etc.
• Implements inventory stocking strategies
• Monitor levels of safety stock, global and aging inventory and works with regions and manufacturing plants to address accordingly
• Works with the AMO organization to ensure spare parts and asset demands are captured
• Works to ensure new assets, repaired assets and spares are captured with the Sales & Operations Planning process
• Assists in executing continuous improvement projects to maximize value.

Essential Requirements of the role (Experience / Skills / Competencies):-
  • Years of experience: 2+ years of experience in material planning, production planning or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment
  • Field of experience: Associates' Degree in Supply Chain or related field or equivalent experience (2+ years’ experience)
  • Technical Skills: understanding or MRP/MPS planning concept
  • Soft Skills: strong ownership and accountability, proactive and self driven, good communication, ability to work under pressure, detailed oriented, team player with professional attitude.
  • Tools or Software (Required / Preferred): SAP, Microsoft excel and preferably power BI.
  • Education Qualifications: Diploma or higher in supply chain or equivalent
  • Industry Background or Experience (Required / Preferred): preferred in manufacturing or industrial oil and gas industry.
  • Target Companies: Manufacturing companies with SAP based planning, oil and gas service companies.
  • Required Accreditations / Qualifications / Certification / Licenses including Driving License: PMP is preferred

• Experience in a high-mix, make-to-order manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to identify risks early and proactively escalate issues impacting OTS
• Strong understanding of lead time drivers and material criticality
• Experience working closely with procurement, production, quality, and engineering
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing demands without constant supervision
• Demonstrated ownership in following up PRs, POs, and shortages until closure
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced operations environment
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Willingness to support operational needs during urgent or critical situations
• Continuous improvement mindset with interest in process optimization and planning improvements
• Professional communication and stakeholder management skills
