This is a yard-based EPC role, and the selected candidate will be working closely with the construction, subcontract, commercial, cost control, planning, and project teams at Seatrium Megayard. The role is suitable for candidates who have strong hands-on experience in quantity surveying, measurement, cost control, contract administration, progress verification, variation claims, subcontractor management, and commercial support within FPSO, offshore, marine, shipyard, EPC, construction, or oil and gas project environments.
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for supporting the Subcontract Engineer in managing construction contract costs by preparing accurate measurement reports, providing quantity-based progress updates, reviewing subcontractor variation order requests, supporting estimation activities, assisting in the development of variation order requests, and preparing tender-related documentation where required.
Accurate and timely data entry will be important for this role, as it will support project reporting, earned progress tracking, and the approval process for construction-related claims and commitments.
We are preferably looking for candidates who have been involved in FPSO or offshore construction projects, ideally from the construction phase through to mechanical completion, handover, or close-out. Candidates with good exposure to shipyard construction activities, subcontractor claims, progress verification, remeasurement, site instructions, and project commercial reporting will be highly considered.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Subcontract Engineer in managing construction contract costs and quantity-related matters
- Prepare measurement reports, quantity updates, remeasurement records, and progress verification reports
- Review and evaluate subcontractor variation order requests, additional work claims, and supporting documents
- Assist with estimation, development of variation order requests, and preparation of tender documentation where required
- Ensure work measurements are aligned with Approved for Construction drawings, procedures, specifications, and project requirements
- Register, manage, and follow up on documentation and drawings related to material take-off and quantity surveying
- Attend site meetings, physically verify completed works, and prepare quantity take-offs and remeasurements across relevant disciplines
- Evaluate quantities and costs using approved remeasurement rates
- Prepare and maintain site instruction tracking spreadsheets and related commercial records
- Expedite and maintain an overview of required client approvals for yard timesheets, third-party commitments, and other relevant supporting documents
- Monitor, verify, and report yard remeasure quantities, estimates, variations, and on-site progress
- Track quantity developments, changes, updates, and adjustments, while supporting accurate forecasting
- Ensure measurement reports and quantity updates are accurate, high quality, and properly reflect engineering solutions and construction progress at the yard
- Work closely with yard teams to align on measurement methods, data structure, discipline requirements, submission plans, and document registers
- Liaise with cost control, weight management, procurement, change management, planning, construction, finance, and subcontractor teams
- Support project control reporting, budget updates, design change documentation, and close-out records where required
- Build and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Remain proactive in following Health, Safety, Environment, Sustainability policies and site regulations
Key Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in engineering, quantity surveying, construction management, or a related technical field; equivalent professional experience may also be considered
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, preferably on large EPC, FPSO, offshore, marine, or shipyard construction projects
- Strong experience in construction estimating, measurement, remeasurement, quantity control, cost control, commercial administration, or subcontract management
- Good understanding of offshore project management and project control activities
- Familiar with bottom-up estimating methodologies, measurement and surveying practices, multi-discipline construction activities, and yard performance verification
- Ability to review drawings, construction scopes, bill of quantities, site instructions, and project specifications
- Ability to structure, analyse, and present data clearly at both detailed and high-level reporting levels
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary project environment
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Preferably candidates with more than two FPSO or offshore construction project experiences in the recent years
- Able to work in a fast-paced yard and project environment
