Overview The Senior Project Controls Specialist provides end-to-end project controls support, including planning, cost management, scheduling, forecasting, reporting, and close-out. This role works closely with project teams to ensure projects meet cost and schedule objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project controls plans, procedures, and systems
- Support project planning including estimates, schedules, WBS, and risk assessments
- Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts, and commitments
- Analyze cost variances and support Estimate at Completion (EAC)
- Review schedules, track milestones, and ensure accurate progress measurement
- Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance tracking
- Prepare and review monthly reports, cost analysis, and forecasting updates
- Support risk analysis, change management, and contingency planning
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and finance teams
- Review contractor cost and progress performance
- Participate in project review meetings (HRIM, QRA) and provide insights
- Mentor junior project controls staff
- Support full project close-out activities
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 15+ years of project controls experience
- Strong expertise in cost control, scheduling, forecasting, and contracts
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Background in large-scale, high-risk capital projects
- Reports to Project Controls Manager
- May supervise junior/intermediate team members
- Field experience is an asset
