As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for several Engineer - Marine for an exciting project at Stord.

Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

What will you be doing?
  • Preparing and maintaining the marine basis for projects in line with plans and procedures
  • Ensuring quality and timely delivery of marine work and sequences
  • Developing and updating marine documentation and implementing HSSE‑ and construction‑friendly design solutions
  • Ensuring all design updates, revisions, DCNs and fabrication deviations are implemented and up to date
  • Performing design verification and clarifying technical requirements and details
  • Reviewing engineering and vendor documentation and following up discrepancies with suppliers
  • Supporting fabrication through 3D modelling, detailing and preparation of fabrication drawings in E3D
  • Verifying deliveries from design engineering to fabrication
  • Maintaining focus on HSSE throughout all activities


 
We think you should have:
  • Relevant experience within structural and fabrication engineering
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations
  • Experience with 3D modelling and fabrication drawings, especially in Aveva E3D
  • Ability to work across disciplines and with external stakeholders
  • Experience with tools such as Staad‑Pro, Sesam, StruProg, Mathcad, MIPS and planning systems
  • Knowledge of PEM is an advantage
  • Structured, proactive and quality‑focused mindset
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
  • Higher education within relevant engineering discipline
  • Experience with leadership or responsibility roles is a plus
  • Availability and rate aligned with project requirements
