Field Engineer - Piping

As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for several Field Engineer - Piping for an exciting project at Stord.

Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
What will you be doing?
  • Assisting production with solving technical issues during fabrication and installation at construction sites
  • Supporting production with interpretation of drawings and job basis
  • Preparing work basis and technical clarifications (TC) in close cooperation with Fabrication Engineering
  • Ensuring quality and timely delivery of own scope in line with project procedures
  • Maintaining close communication with work leader (FIL), method, fabrication engineering, PRE and other stakeholders
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
 
We think you should have:
  • Required: Long experience as a field engineer
  • Experience from Aker Solutions projects is an advantage
  • Solid experience within piping
  • Active and solution‑oriented mindset
  • Good collaboration and communication skills
  • Software skills: experience with 3D tools and good knowledge of MIPS
  • Bachelor’s degree or technical college education, relevant construction experience may compensate for formal education
