Role Summary: - 
Base Engineer must supervise all critical cementing jobs at the Rigs during drilling of oil and gas wells. He must carry out following jobs and ensures that they are done within the recommended specifications, procedures and polices. 
Essential Responsibilities: -

• To plan, design, and co-ordinate with ONGC for successfully carrying out all cementation jobs, technical support for all aspects of cementing, pressure testing and associated cementing units, equipment! tools and carry out all connected activities in accordance with the highest offshore standards. He will ensure overall supervision directly by him or through a Field Supervisor at site on all critical jobs. He will also submit the comprehensive well completion report within one month of completion of the Well including post job analysis and corrective measure if any for improvement of job.
• Base Engineer must attend morning & evening meeting in the Client office and has to coordinate with Client Field Manager on day-to-day basis for smooth field operations & to interact with their Cementing Operators before and after the cement job.
• Base Engineer to make all efforts to minimise the deviation in the slurry design for cementing job for a well, in comparison with the contract reference packages, in consultation with the Contractor’s laboratory.

Qualifications Requirements:

• Base Engineer and Field Supervisor should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical/ Petroleum. Base Engineer and Field Supervisor shall be qualified and fully trained in cementing engineering to perform all cementing jobs & testing, analysis and interpretation results of tests and take corrective measures in maintaining required features of cement slurry. 
• The Base Engineer should have experience of at least seven years in case of Bachelor’s Degree and fifteen years in case Diploma (after obtaining stipulated qualification).
• The Base Engineer and Field Supervisor should have done planning & supervising of primary cementation of at least three offshore U-HPHT wells having BHST above 300°F.

Below mentioned documents are required to get the CV approved from the customer.

1. 7 offshore job logs will be required.
   1. Minimum five of job log shall be offshore in five different years.
   2. All job logs shall span (cover) over minimum 5 years.
   3. No plug job is accepted.
   4. all shall be signed (no excel accepted)

4. B. Tech Degree certificate (any Stream)
5. Cementing school certificate (from any Company- like Baker, SLB, HAL etc.)

 
Desired Characteristics: -
Base Engineer deployed should not be more than 60 years of age.
