As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for Field Engineering - White disciplines for an exciting project at Sandsli. This role is not rotational, but may include some international travel.
 
Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.

What will you be doing?
  • Assisting production with resolving technical issues during construction and installation work
  • Supporting production with interpretation of drawings and work basis
  • Preparing work basis and technical documentation in collaboration with shop engineering
  • Verifying that installation location and execution are construction‑ and HSSE‑friendly
  • Maintaining close communication with work leader (FIL), method, shop engineering, PRE and other stakeholders
  • Coordinating closely with production and supporting efficient execution
  • Interfacing across all disciplines (EIT, piping, structure, civil, HVAC), as well as suppliers, subcontractors and planning
  • Supporting IT/IS systems related to engineering registers and MIPS
  • Contributing to strong HSSE performance throughout all activities

 
We think you should have:
  • Experience from field engineering or site work
  • Good understanding of as‑built drawings and mechanical interface drawings
  • Basic IT skills and ability to work with digital tools
  • Software skills: MS Office 365, MIPS, E3D
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across disciplines
  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years of E&I experience, relevant experience may compensate
