As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for an Insulation Engineer for an exciting project at Stord.
 
This position is currently NOT based on a rotation schedule, although this may change in the future.
 
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
 
 
What will you be doing?
  • Coordinate and follow up on project changes, including Site Queries (SQs) and Change Requests.
  • Assess the impact of changes on cost, schedule, materials, and installation activities.
  • Participate in change management meetings, follow up on decisions, and coordinate the implementation of approved technical changes.
  • Monitor and manage revisions to drawings, work packages, and technical documentation.
  • Communicate project changes to relevant disciplines and execution personnel and support project management with change status reporting.
  • Follow up on material orders and deliveries, ensuring material availability before production and installation activities begin.
  • Identify missing or delayed materials, establish mitigating actions, and coordinate material flow between warehouse, fabrication, and installation areas.
  • Maintain material status in MIPS and PIMS, ensure material traceability and offshore documentation requirements, and provide status reports on critical material deliveries.
 
 
We think you should have:
  • Experience from EPC/EPCI, offshore, energy, or industrial projects.
  • A Bachelor's degree, Technical College diploma, or a trade certificate combined with relevant experience.
  • Background in coordination, documentation management, and material control.
  • Experience with handling SQ, CCS, and document handling.
  • Good understanding of technical drawings, work packages, and production processes.
  • Experience using MIPS, ProArc, and PIMS.
  • Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
